How to calculate Test Case Productivity ?

Test Case Design Productivity or Test Case Productivity (TCP) is the ratios of Number of Test Steps/Cases prepared to Effort spent for Test Steps/Cases Preparation. Effort spend is always measured in hours.TCP is used to determine the test case design productivity and is used as input parameter for future estimation. Test Case Productivity is also known as Test Case Design Productivity. Test Case Productivity is either calculated on Test Steps / Person Hour or Test Case / Person Day basis.

How to calculate to Test Case Productivity (Test Steps/Person Hour):

Test Case Productivity = (Number of Test Steps Prepared) / (Effort spent for Test Case Preparation)

                                                = 30 Test Steps/ Person Hour
Test Case Productivity is measured in test steps per person per hour.

How to calculate to Test Case Productivity (Test Case/Person Day):
Test Case Productivity = (Number of Test Cases Designed) / (Effort spent for Test Case Design)
